Winter 2014
Dear Friends and Neighbors:
I am delighted to welcome you to our new website and our Winter 2014 newsletter. It was last winter when I had a newsletter on our website, in which I said we are working on the online-ordering functionality on our website. Finally, we did it. I am happy to say that our new site now allows you -----our loyal customers----- to order your take out or delivery on line at the comfort of your home or from your smart phone. Please give it a try and go ahead use the coupons on this site while they last. As always, I am eager to hear your feedback on your online ordering experience on this site as well as your whole dining experiences at China Wok.

As China Wok enters its 23rd year ( and myself the 13th year as the owner of China Wok) serving delicious Chinese food and Sushi to our community , I am very thankful for the great support of our customers. We love our customers because without your support, we could not have lasted for more than twenty years.

I am also very grateful to our hard working employees who, day in and day out, strive to provide the best Chinese Food and Sushi to our community . I thank Henny, Cathy and Martha for their gracious and genuine hospitality to our customers. Speaking of our employees, our one time sushi Chef Mamason retired during Spring . Mamason is now enjoying her retirement. I am thankful for her service at this restaurant and I wish her well in her retirement.

Following the departure of Mamason, we had an new Sushi chef Chung for 4 months. Chung introduced us to an new menu of Fried Sushi Rolls such as the Volcano Rolls, Pacific Rolls, Fuji Volcano Rolls, Tuna Jalapeno Popper and Sweet Potato Rolls which now appear on our menu. These rolls are to die for. It is really that good. With the addition of these new rolls, our Sushi has gotten even better now.

I am not the only one who thinks that our Sushi is exceptional good. I remember a few years ago, during the Summer, we had a group of young ladies who would come for Sushi few times a week for the whole Summer. After getting to know them and talking to them few times, I found out that they are from Eastern Europe and that they have been eating Sushi all over Europe, but they told me that China Wok had the best Sushi that they ever had. I was very happy to hear that . It gave me tingling pleasure in my inner ears.

I do think that we have very good Sushi. The taste, if not the presentation , is as good as any other Sushi one may find in other temples of raw fish in town and out of town. But don't just take my word for it, try some of our Sushi Rolls yourself.

Of course, we have a large selection of tasty Chinese dishes and Beer and Wine and full bar on our menu for your enjoyment. With the Holidays around corner, let me just say : Happy Holidays to our customers. Thank you for visiting us online and I hope to see you soon at China Wok !

This is an official email to confirm that my automatic delivery for today July 7th ($23.30) and 8th ($30.40) is cancelled. I called yesterday to cancel ALL pending orders, contacted my bank for reimbursement of monies and am using snagit as verification of cancellation. I will no longer patronize your restaurant now or in the future. Please submit paper work to reimburse/cancel monies pending transaction or I will take legal steps to ensure repayment. The last thought is,...if you make a mistake, own it and rectify it. In the case of pineapple shrimp,... send the sauce. don't treat the customer as ifthey're stupid.

Dang it Joe, so I was VERY angry last weekend and rightful so. Today I ordered sushi from a different place and AGAIN my response was OMG if you need to learn how to do sushi please go to China Wok. I emailed you personally and never took down my 5 star review and glad I didn't. I do think though that when a mistake is made please rectify it. I spend a lot of money there so I get upset when I feel like I'm minimalized or given implausible excuses (Shrimp does NOT soak up that much sauce in an hour). Marty

Joe, I have thought a lot about this since yesterday and will be honest. I still plan to bring in gov customer however beyond that I don't think I will be patronizing your establishment again. I spoke to you on the phone because I did not get what I ordered or discussed. You said the extra sauce soaked into the shrimp. That was not only a blatant lie but an insult to my intelligence. I didn't want to get nasty so I said OK. It's not so much about cost but principle. I feel I have been a valued customer and spend a lot on weekends. Usually 40$ or more. Over time your customer base is what sustains you. I can't in good conscience go to a place where my value as a customer is minimalized. I will still bring in gov customer as stated but will later be spending my time and money elsewhere. My final thoughts are "VERY disappointed when I have screamed your praises to ppl at work and even yesterday in your restaurant. can't believe you pulled that :-(

I came in today, ordered sushi delux and pineapple shrimp. I asked if I could replace the rice in lieu of extra sauce. You said yes. Got home, not near the amount of the main entree ordered last time but not one bit of extra sauce. Joe that dish alone is 14.00$ I kinda laughed cause I just gave customers great reviews while there but am sad now.

Every weekend I order large amounts os sushi. This weekend I got sushi and coconut shrimp. WOW. It was perfection. Will order again and again and again

Today (May 7, 2018) I ordered for delivery the following: 1 Hot&Sour Soup (great soup), 1 steamed dumpling (average), 1 Singapore Noodles (great), 1 General Tao Chicken (Very Good), 1 Mama's Twice Cooked Pork (Very Bad - Worst). Was this dish supposed to have a sauce with it? The actual pork was good but the rest of the ingredients were not good. If I was to Yelp this dish it would not even get 1 star but as you know 1 is the minimum. I wont order that dish again. All others were ok..

Twice now they have messed up our take out order. Had to drive back to restaurant to get rest of order. No apology or compensation. Too busy on the phone at the front desk to address this concern. Told us to microwave food to heat it back up. I am not stupid, I could have microwaved a Lean Cuisine and eaten hot food faster than this took. Go to Asian Diner or China House around the corner. Nicer service and good food.
